Anti-Virus Programs There a wide number of reputable anti-virus programs available, for both PC and Macintosh operating systems. Programs for PCs: Norton Systemworks AVG Anti-Virus Software McAfee Anti-Virus Online anti-virus scanners: Trend Micro Programs for Mac: Virex Norton Systemworks We recommend: Norton Systemworks For Windows XP users, make sure you got to http://www.symantec.com to get all prgram updates for your version. Norton Anti-Virus (part of the Norton Systemworks package) appears to have problems on the XP operating system without the update. See sidebar at right. We have found that sometimes particularly destructive viruses may disable your installed anti-virus software and either report no viruses on your system, or not allow you to update your virus definitions.
